Woa, it's Friday. This week has been one of my best this year, just generally really. I've enjoyed working on the current development projects, interacting with life and basically just going at my own pace. I think I calibrate this based on a few things:
If I'm happy/content after I leave the office probably because I'm enjoying something or learning then that's a good start. The other is feeling OK that I've not yet finished something.

When I'm walking back home say from Gym, looking around I realise how great life is, generally every scene looks beautiful as if I've never been there before and I enjoy realising that.

The other thing that I quite like is knowing that if all else fails - nothing can ever take away my experiences stored in my mind. That's a cool feeling. I've got nothing to loose and don't worry about loosing. Also knowing that you answer to no-one, depend on no-one and shape each and everyday based on how you want it to go. That, and not being on any extra caricular schedule, besides say gym(but I do that as and when I want to) really is great.

I was walking back from the gym yesterday thinking how carefree I am. I know this is down to my lifestyle which is intentionally not complicated, non-hectic and minimalistic. I think I like it that way. I've found some pretty great pieces of music recently on Spotify which real good for me - and really chills me out in the evening.

I was also thinking how I don't want anything to change that.

Another thing, I think that I maybe exercising a bit too much because I'm waking up real tired. That, or my nutritional intake needs a boost. Could be something else.

Today was a smashingly wonderful day. I learnt today. That's good. What was quite nice was actually deciding that I'm done, and that I'm happy with what I've done today. It's strange because I can very easily spend my time just enjoying the interaction of working so much so that I decide to do stuff that I don't have to do, specifically on that day. So I'm pretty amped to have left the office satisfied that I achieved what I set out todo.

Learned a stack load of SQL today, specifically around syntax and theory implementing Foreign keys and clustered primary keys. Also on the agenda was cascading deletes.

Enjoyed a relatively hassle free day, I watched people faffing about around me but with my 'mind-suck' headphones I could filter all that out and concentrate on the job at hand. The thing about today was copying data which needed to, when deleted, delete all referencing/related data. This on the whole was achieved. Slight inconsistencies arose however I am content to deal with them tomorrow.

Was denied a milkshake today at lunch which was disappointed - I don't think the local BurgerKing has fixed their milkshake machine in weeks. That sucks, I'm a milkshake fan. Instead found myself entrenched in a couple of sandwiches thanks to the famous Boots "meal deal". In other news I found that the knewt can do super-animal regeneration of missing or severed body parts like Wolverine in XMen. Respect.

Feel like I need to give gym hell tonight. Thought about why escalators are metal when stairs aren't and if metal is better why not have them in our household staircases. Dunno. Random stupid thought. It would be interesting to to see Woden escalators and you know what, the Japanese are hectic in doing stuff in wood, they and the Dutch even have wooden shoes. I realise that this logic is flawed, arranged and a bit worrying but there you go.

Been trying read online info about muscle but so far I've found getting independent, study results about the topic more specific to routines that work, quite hard to come by. I would quite like to correctly power my body through exercise and nutrition...

I'm hugely hungry, so I might grab a energy bar before I hit the gym. that's the other thing...is it detrimental to gym when you're hungry?

Got home pretty late last night. 11pm kind of late. I was at work. Pretty sad I suppose. But that said, I got my VirtualBox/AppTitude integration mechanism working so that's cool. It involved writing a "proxy" - I mention that only because it's a cool word and and it happens to be true.

I've now got a partial solution but at least it's a start. Today's Wednesday which is pretty much my best weekday of them all because not only are you on the way down the hill towards the weekend but it allows you to say daft things like, "Well Tomorrow, I'll be able to say that tomorrow is Friday". People you may know me will know this about me :-)

Had the letting company come around to inspect my apartment and besides a cracked window(totally my mistake - left the window fully open to close itself and crack in doing so on a windy day) everything was peachy. Kinda irritates me that all the same things that were problems were re-picked up this time round and nothing has been done to fix 'em. They are not critical. argh. I'm still contemplating my involvement in replacing things that really should be replaced by them. Anyway I'm not stressed, just statefull.

Had a Dev meeting yesterday and I saw an iPad 2 and today I see another kindle - two devices I've tried to stay away but it's getting tricky. As you can tell I'm not over it.

Work is cool, we've pushed out our recent release to QA and we're working at new stuff which is nice. Getting my fix of database interaction lately so still pretty chuffed. Bit tired this morning but that's because I got home late.

Another random tidbit - doesn't Rhys Ifans look like Liam Gallagher from Oasis and us the perfect rockstar actor?

The massage therapist joined us for drinks last Friday which kinda looked strange because there was like 15 guys and one lady(her words). But it was fun, so cool!

I'm looking forward to today.
