If you followed my last post, you'd know that I was up to no good. No, not really. I was gearing up redesign the look of my apartment. First thing I decided needed a style refresh was the curtains - they looked like they belonged to a old granny(so quite conservative or bland, you pick one). Also, as I'm trying to maximise my space I opted to replace the drapes with more sleek blinds, so they take up less space and don't appear like space Hoggers as I think all curtains essentially are. Spent most of my day marking the surfaces, measuring and drilling/screwing. This was after buying a cool new cordless drill, spirit level, measuring tape and sone other odds and ends for the job. It's done now and I like it. Its the first step I think in effectively defining my living space. I won't kid you, it got me tired real fast, my hands, feet and generally everything breathed a sigh of relief as the last screw went in.

Had Spotify running in the background most of the day, pausing only when i had to head back the hardware store because my screws were too small, and it was pretty cool listening to stuff, especially since I had a Foo fighters marathon happening. Speaking of marathons or endurance - the men's final I missed but heard that Djokovic finally knocked Rafael out his castle (quite pleasing to know as I favoured old Djokie and didn't expect him to win!)

Need to think about how best to divide my apartment into sections like entertainment, sleep and office and not just mishmash it together like I do.

sweet, tomorrow is Monday and I'm cool with that.
