Right, so I finally got myself a beer. They happened to be twin Draft Stella Artois pints which were not too bad tasting(ok, they sucked!) It has been a long time really since I decided not to drink. I wouldn't say it was tough because it wasn't - I just don't like it so it's easy really. If anything, a rather nice rewarding challenge which had run it's course I think, socially definitely.

What was cool was that after two beers I was like "that's it, I'm good" no need to drink anymore. What was impressive was me squeezing 2 and a half hours into just 2 beers.

The guys headed out for what was our "newcomer" drinks - one of our guys from Australia (which thus far had been merely a voice on the line during our stand up meetings) came across to meet us face to face which was cool and so - like most things in England, thete needn't be another reason to drink to that.

Brought along another new addition to our night-life group this evening in the form of the wonderful lady who massaged me earlier this week(yeah, that one) which was great as it's good to get together and experience what human beings can offer socially because offen, it's such a valuable insight it brings. Not only that, it's fun to talk to new people.

Having got in late last night, after my hang-out with my old work collegue, I thought that I was going to evaporate perhaps 20 minutes into the evening but surprisingly I found strength to push through. Glad I did because I don't think I push myself enough, socially but whatever.

Surprisingly after not drinking for such a long tine hasn't really affected me in perhaps the way I thought it might.

I'll be heading out to see Grenwich with our Australian newcomer tomorrow and that'll include a ferry ride which will be pretty cool. Looking forward to seeing the naval museums again!
