Been pretty quite the last couple of days. I've been off, haven't done much but just doing stuff or not doing stuff - either way i'm not rushing and nothing has to be planned which is cool but a little bit wierd. Suppose like at work, in the morning - you have a routine and you get up and find a shirt, iron it - keep half a eye on the time and kinda pace yourself and when the next thing needs to be done, you do it. It all kinda stressed out because you have to be in time. Right, so its not been like that.
I got a £50 M&S gift voucher from Sky a while back and its just been sitting there looking at me, so yesterday I decided to check if I could use it - like I didn't really have much else to do. I bought like a basket of food, and stuff and wondered around the shop for a while for stuff I might like and got to the check out and it worked beautifully - I payed nothing for my shopping basket - nice. I had to carry the bags with me home but that was ok. Ended buying some fancy stuff that I'd not normally buy - basically because its too far anyway and I'm not fussy enough but I did anyway. Of note was a fancy detox tea(yeah, i know), fancy-schmancy biscuits and the rest was just dinner. Not much exotic than that.
Today I watched youtube, watched about 4-5 vids of F.W De Klerk and his mannerisms and interesting listening to him - dude is a legend to me, someone powerful but modest and clearly sharp as a sharp thing...could finish that saying there :-)
Yeah I also woke up thinking it was Friday - it wasn't. It was Thursday. Just goes to show how much having some time off screwed with my mojo and I only realised this on the bus, half way to Raynes Park for my doctor's appointment. I didn't have an appointment that day either. So that was also a bit of a surprise but worked itself out because I needed to reregister with the practise anyway before my appointment so i figured might as well keep on going and do it a day before. Did it and it was fine and I'm pretty relaxed knowing i dont need to do it 10 minutes before my appointment tomorrow.
Mucked about in my flat really today, took the rubbish out did a bit of cleaning and had a few naps today. Doing nothing really takes alot out of you!
Still, I played xbox - i've been doing that a lot lately with my knack of lethargy and new found need not to do anything. I've got drinks tomorrow after 5pm for a work friend. Always a bit strange going to traditional work drinks especially when you're not going to be a work but hey ho - its the effort and thought that counts. Nearly fell asleep playing the guitar to myself last night - thats not a indication of skill, more an indication of boredom and lack of skill on the guitar. Woke up this morning and nearly stepped on it, next to my bed - swore to myself in my head...as I fumbled out of bed to the bathroom.
Had a thought that I may grow my hair. Yeah. I probably won't but I could. I've done it before and it wasn't so bad...(see picture).
I'm still feeling pretty off so thats pretty much why I'm off to the doc tomrrow, hopefully he can give me antibiotics and blast these germs sky high and I'll be ok.

Some do. I've witness 'geeks' find concepts and ideas in movies, novels explain and describe 'cool' things they've come across. There are perhaps example of non-geeks to I such as those who bring concepts in conversation, generally.
Are train readers merely passing the time? If this is the case - it's a waste of life's time, as idling is not productive and all humans should strive to make a difference. In it's defence, idling on the train is a waste of time - sleeping is more productive - for the body. However idling is at times good for the human psyche - point is - repetitive, non-moderate idleness is silly - are train readers non-moderate idlers?
The news, a different story however lately is a speculative mix of hype and make-shift histeria made to instill an urgency in matters that aren't essentially important but aspects, when pulled at the right angle, upset readers and thus indulge our interests. These newspapers are stupid. A newspaper can put a very emotional clause in inverted quoted, make that the headline and take no responsibility for the effects that headline has on the public - a quote is not official and represents a view/opinion of someone but the public doesn't u derstand it - as far as they are concerned, it's in the papers, written and this true. This is dishonest, misleading and irresponsible of news papers. These are specially true of the papers on the tube, that everyone reads - the only papers they get for free. I wonder how much speculative conversation these papers that publish misleading articles under 'crooked' headings generate. I'd imagine they fuel at least half of the conversations about underlying topics discussed among the general public. Obviously this generates rumours, lies and uninformed communication. In a way, they control the public in this respect but I wonder how much they know this.
Back to my dear train commuters - are they all brain dead zombies assimilating misinterpretating news, side-stepping cognitive thought-provoking ideas in fiction novels? I don't know.
There must be some who are and who aren't.

Anyway, so because of this I've been pretty slow weekend, been basically playing this new game to do something because I don't really feel like programming or designing anything. So, also part of my thinking is that I train to hard at gym/running and don't get proper nutrition, that or my body is still reeling from run/dentist on Saturday. Dunno but man, it hurt like hell. I'm better than I was but not perfect.
Been sorta glimpsing the cricket - English vs India and saw South Africa loose to Australia in Tri-nations rugby today. I'm also hugely tired lately.
gotta just get over it, huh?
