Yeah, so I just decided that I should get off my butt and get this design off the group. Pretty stoked after I started it must be said. Been feeling pretty out of it really recently – still effects of that episode with the dehydration/food-poisoning last week causing me feel like I need to rest but now I'm lethargic and I needed to reset which I did about an hour ago with a quick 2.5km run down to the gym with a little bit of a work out and I must say I'm feeling much better.

Also this will be the first post I upload to stuartmathews.com via word, yeah lets see how that goes. Anyway, thought it was an interesting design, enough to put it online – ah heck now I want to take it down. Too bad I'm too far down the digital revolution to stop.

Enjoy!

Last couple of hours of today at work were physically the hardest. I felt like sleeping from about 15:00 which was heavy. Dunno must be me and my sleeping inconsistencies. Well, got some great work in the hours that I was really awake. Got to stop winging it at night. Weird - of all things that are taking getting used to is sleeping, none of the hard stuff that I though would be a pain being alone in an apartment.

I've been rather guiltily thinking that I need to start a new varsity module. Guilty because it's expensive and I want to buy other stuff instead(bungy jumping and new killer watch - simple things really...but mucho expensive-o) Looks like they will need to take a back seat for a bit - look, I'm ok with that. I'm just telling myself that.

Man, I love the Internet at a switch of a button - O2 sent me a bill for £0 which was cool(part of that 6 months free thing). Still, getting the waste of paper was exhilarating(might have over sold it there, maybe :)

Was thinking to get some goals defined, short term and long term. One thing I'm always aware off is drifting...in life. Got that cool magic whiteboard stuff(Dragons den, remember?) which I could jott them on. I think the trick is to be constantly reminded with upsetting up the minimalist look a want for my apartment. That said, at the moment my social life is zero. Which is scary but ok, so recently I've just been speccing, modding and generally getting my website just right. With me not gyming or running - that's what I'm doing. Just thinking that I probably am ok with it enough to stop and just leave it and concentrate on more important things.

Been absolutely loving Spotify, its like renting as much money as you want but the money goes into your ears. huh.

I'm got a slight wierdo no-no at the moment which is strangers kissing uncontrollably in the street - saw that a couple of days and I pretty much wanted to ninja-kick their karma. Suppose that's just me missing out but I'm allowed to be unreasonable...well in my head!

As a token of my silliness today, I turned a simple uninteresting phrase, 'Select All', that one of our programmers was using to describe something to our development manager, into a deadly hero-wielding instrument of death and destruction, that someone like he-man might posess, aptly named a 'Sellector' sword. eh eh....? no? fail - Oh I just made myself cringe!

So I headed out to our Company's first BBQ event last night at some hotel. Was pretty awesome looking place, quite nice and very hotelly. Everything was elegant and well presented and upmarket so kinda impressed.

This hotel was located right next to one of the few original remnants of the Roman London wall. Very cool. Another fine example of how the English preserve their heritage through the ages.

My 6 month tea total stint, has now truly been battered and beaten up - I had 4 Winhoek lagers, which I enjoyed somewhat and held me in good stead or most of the evening. Oh, yeah so this was the day I donned my suit which kinda fitted the Hotel atmosphere sweetly so totally digged that and it wore beautifully.

My first interesting conversation started about the London Wall and progressed to the how Paris has changed throughout the ages and an interesting talk about the Unreal Development Kit as well as identifying and discussing two if the longest running films of all times of 9 and 10 hours running time! Both of which are considered cinematical masterpieces. One of which was called perhaps 'Shoella' or 'fluella' about I think the French invasion of Russia(brutal red war) and can't remember the other or what it was about. Obviously my memory was taking a back seat.

Conversation fluctuated from Cultural differences between arranged marriages, XBox games, Designing a marketing and partner program to South African peculiarities.

The food was pretty good, found out that often on events like this the tab at the bar goes in excess of £1000 and that was pretty impressive. That's a lot if people drinking though.

Found myself after my fourth lager, adequately drinked, so I decided to head off. While wondering back from the event, I decided to walk along the themes and over tower bridge which looked spectacular in the night lights, also so did the Tower of Lobdon. I started raining but I didn't care - it's worth just being there and enjoying the moment. So I just felt, saw and experienced the night life of the moment.

I got home, grabbed the pizza I ordered. yesterday out if the fridge and had that for dinner. Had about 3 pieces before I was ok to put it away and head into bed. All in all I was quite impressed to find 1) Windhoek lager, my father's favourite beer(he, like me are very casual drinkers) which I relished. 2) The London Wall was cool to see up close and personal. 3) I had a rather chilled out evening which was really unstressed and cool. The atmosphere was cool and I spoke to a few people I don't chat alot with with mixed results but generally good.

Wonderfully, strangly it's only Thursday today! That's pretty freakin' odd for me.
