Well I'm slowly getting onto the tube after the bank holiday weekend. Woke up at 7:00 which was rather terrible. That said, I zombie-sleep-walked at around 2am - must have been my unconscious excitement for Monday...ahem.
Can't say I was terribly productive this weekend when compared to say running around and stuff with just watching Thor at the cinema, a couple of runs(ok so some running around then) and a few appearances at the gym. No, most of my weekend entailed socially inert activities like programming and oh, Friday I bought a game - which pretty much filled in the gaps in between. That being said, I enjoyed it, perhaps a little bit too much.
My calf muscles are unusually unstable this morning even achy, perhaps after my 15 minute run to the gym yesterday which started off was unusually achy and apparently has stayed achy.
Feeling quite optimistic about today. Just thinking - That sort of optimism will get a man shot.
I'm thinking of taking some holiday non-discriminately over the next couple of weeks which should amount to a little care-free time which is something I'd like more of.(bank holiday weekend syndrome) There are a few interesting places in England I'd like to visit - mostly castles and old historic buildings. Downloaded a great national heritage app that gives you the low-down on all the places worth seeing. So, essentially I have a guide, I just need to go and enjoy it.
It's things like this that I like to make my life up of. Because whether I like it or not, it's what you don't do that ends up making up your life.
My eyelids are a little bit heavy now and I might rest them...

Well yes, the royal wedding is the talk of the town and I'm rather anxiously looking forward to see the precession on the streets of London. I imagine it's going to be incredibly difficult to be productive - in as much as seeing anything, but I'm going for the experience and the atmosphere and really the ability to say, yes I was there and I enjoyed it.
I'm doing a bit of consultancy at the moment work, where a customer has a few issues that I'm looking at and I'm pleased that I get to talk to customers again, that said I'd prefer not to :-)
Brought in 2 Xbox games for the office yesterday which should give me the opportunity to take, ah-hem...regular breaks. Have not yet given it a go but it's there when we need it.
Had a quick little look at Leeds Castle on the web and that looks like something I should invest some time to go looking into it - it's local and quite marvellous. It's got a moat, 'c'mon that's awesome.
Interesting few days on the iPhone app front, wrote some basic foundations to send data to a server and receive it. I then implemented a type-ahead search functionality using this base functionality. Quite Exciting.
That said, work has been rather grand with this week bring a 3 day week. Sweet. Tomorrow I'm off to see the wedding so that should be great. Not sure how long I'll stay for as I imagine it's going to get pretty crowded pretty soon, which tends to irritate me, generally but not before I get a couple if photos that I can upload to my blog!

Right I'm on the tube heading for Buckingham Palace, this is going to be crazy! When I woke up this morning, turned the TV on and coverage of the wedding celebrations were well underway. I'm so stoked. I'm hoping to get on that long strip from Buckingham palace to Westminster. It's going to be tough. I think just being there, taking photos and just sharing in the event will be great fun - I'm thinking that I'm probably not going to enjoy the crowding (who does, right?) but I want to say I was there!
Probably end up wondering about like a tourist but hey no problemo! Even now, the tube is lighting up and I can see all the eyes on my Union Jack t-shirt I'm wearing, seen a few in full blown dress from sunglasses, hats and flags - you name it - they have it. I need to grab a flag. I don't know, it's something about getting a flag that's got me going. Perhaps it's scenes of previous lined streets with furious fluttering flags that have made it's impression.
I doubt I'll see the Prince or his entourage but hey I don't really know them so I'm not terribly worried. Thinking, I'm really not that fussed about celeb stuff(and this is celeb stuff, 'c'mon) but this doesn't happen very often, an opportunity to see a great royal couple starting one hopes a fruitful journey and historically, it'll be nice to say I was there!
Ive just got this feverous desire to grab some outrageous union jack sun glasses to wear with my shirt. Saw sone real corkers so far!
Well I watched everything in Hyde park on big screens, to be honest it felt as if I was at a sports event or something. every time we saw prince William or Kate - everyone just waved their flags. really good fun! kinda got little bored of standing there, so soon after they did their do's - I departed finding my way back to Victoria station, which thankfully wasn't half as difficult as it was getting there.
Got a text from my mom, saying when am I going to get married...goodness I told her, let's take one step at a time, shall we?
anyway, so great the text of the day is mine!

Going for a bit of a browsium today. Heading into the heart of London Central to "wish list" really. Quite happy to mosey along down aisles of deparetement stores to see what's interesting and what is quite bizarre - that's why I'm off to selfridges and perhaps Harrods. In fact I had such a good nights sleep last night, im feeling quite refreshed. On this topic, I went to bed listening to my earphones to cancel out the the noise of the traffic on the street below me. Amazing outcome because I almost immediately felt relaxed and unstressed.
It's rather quite hot today and I'm in jeans and a shirt and I hope it doesn't get too uncomfortable as it does when the sun's out for extended periods of time.
Im rather quite keen to know what new gadgets and luggage I can feast my eyes on, I'm also on the look out for another time piece - this time its got to be an all seeing, all doing one - much like my forerunner 405 but without the battery life and water restrictions.
As I write this, I'm sat in a carrige of the north bound northern line tube heading towards Edgware via Bank and I'm beginning to rather appreciate the lack of air conditioning. I watched a documentary about the Royal family, more specifically on the Royal Castle of Winsor and it was rather quite interesting to see The Duke of Edinburgh giving a guided tour. It is quite clear that it's a lavish setup which the royal family(and the rest of the world )appreciate quite dearly. This is quite wonderful. The aspect that excite me the most was the part on the Guild Knights because it's a tribute to current ordinary people turned noblemen and knights who are at the very top of the social spectrum due to distinction, achievement.
At times I wonder what that must be like - being so distinguished by sheer quality of ones actions and merit.
Had a rather marvellous day out and about in London. First I hung about in Selfridges, browsed as much as I could really - wondered down less traveled routes and discovered that there weren't that lesser travelled at all, owing it seemed to my lack of traveling in these areas and the vastness that is London.
Headed back home, going via Clapham Junction, with what I think was a rather industrious attempt to get around and enjoy the sights and sounds. Grabbed myself a container if Blueberries and Raspberries, a bottle of water and I realised that post run around is probably not the best time to be eating with less opportunity to burn off the calories - oh well bugger it I say - I'll enjoy my Chicken Mayo sandwich with no sign of regret. Im quite relieved one can eat a meal so readily whilst out and about - else I'd probably never eat.
