No jokes, that title says it all. After my little running stint over the weekend, which produced a few running blisters, I decided to go to work in new shoes. Bug mistake. I could hardly walk by the end of the day, I nearly banged every conceivable obstacle once I took them off(the shoes) which made this that much more uncomfortable. Hobbled to the pharmacy on the way home yesterday and grabbed some antiseptic powder spray which is cool stuff, that and some padding tape. I went all Dr Mathews and surgically removed the skin and then sprayed the powder - idea being that it would dry out the skin to aid recovery. That said, sleeping wasn't the most comfortable either. Woke up kinda ok, most of the blisters had healed considerably(amazing what open air can do) but still tender. sat on my bed and strapped it up real good - using the padded tap.
I'm now kinda of ok, got my old trusty shoes on which are helping but I still walk with a limp(gangsters might think I was shot and I'm hardcore, so there maybe an upside)
Yesterday though, just thinking, was a great day, I was indoors for much of it except for lunch. Today, I'd like to capitalise on going on smoke breaks(even though i don't smoke).
-- separate and totally unrelated note --I think earphones are damaging the ears of our generation. I'm done now.
