I've just placed an order for a new watch. And what really appeals to me is not the tide charts or moon phases it generates and not specifically the altimeter or barometer but out all the killer features, and there are lots - the thing that really delights me is like my current kinetic watch, it never requires a battery change because it's solar powered. Of all the things that technology has been able to do, they've not yet, until now, brought the power of the sun to the wrist watch. I think it's truly amazing that you can have a watch with temperature meters, compasses, alarms, stop watches, altimeters, barometers and not require at any point in your life to worry about it running out of battery.

I mean it's truly amazing, now one never will depend on batteries running out or being left stranded without vital information like compass bearings, tide charts and weather readings because all these are now power by the most abundant energy source. I'm so looking forward to knowing that this pier o equipment will rely on nothing but the sun, enough for me to rely on nothing but it!

It's actually quite strange how knowing that your watch is unlimited: I have a kinetic watch and I often remark that it'll die when I die, referring to my life as a life of movement and this a cool thing.

The new Casio PAW1500t-7v has the most features of any watch I've seen, it's progressed through an evolution from the -v1 so they've had time to rethink, fix and optimise things they found needed improvement on in -v1. Not only is it suba-diving possible(200 meters water resist), it's made out of titanium and receives atomic timing from beacons around the world. All this with unlimited battery life! This is the watch you want to be with when your in the water, outdoors and traveling. It's a watch for a man without compromises.

With all that said...I've not got one yet, in fact it should arise within the next few days so what this has been is pre-ownership bliss so take it with a pinch if salt - I've not used it at all!

I think the next few days at work will be toughest, knowing that at any moment your delivery will appear. In reality I know that this is not true, with it really being only available within the next 3-5 days but still you somehow wish it that it be today. Focusing on work will be easier if I focus on my task list, so I'll do that :-)

Yesterday was pretty good, work wise I got stuff done which will hopefully get me moving to the next stage of my project I'm working on. We headed off to do our Dragon boat challenge from work at around 16:00 and headed down to the docks. On the whole, it was a great experience - we all got together and as a team really made a great day of it. Their was a lot of shouting, cheering and general over the top enthusiasm as at almost every milestone we made a concerted effort to be heard and enjoy ourselves. We did remarkably well, coming in 3rd overall out of usual Dragon boaters - we were a bunch over overweight developer!

Unusually we rowed quite well, synchronised our strokes into and against the water with good precision. Our team was named Yakuza, which was figured to be oriental enough of a name. We were sponsored by our company, App-DNA which I think we did proud.

We also capsized, straight after powering through a win during our heats which was an experience. I know of at least phone which is now and ex-phone. We swam back, cheered and pretty much made a thing of it which was great.

We looked sorta distinct with a bit of red face painted App-DNA red/orange in American football stripes under our eyes. I managed a very modest 2 beers and considering that I'm cutting back that's good.

The charity was called Back up, in support of helping those who've had debilitating, paralysingly back problems get back up. At the end, one of the affected members of the trust told of her harrowing experience encountering a largely unknown condition that suddenly without warning caused her to collapse in her apartment and never let her walk again. Very eye opening because that sort of thing could happen to me, you or anyone and just like that, your life changes dramatically. very scary but she's going sky diving this weekend and told us how she's getting back up - which was inspirational.

Bit tired this morning but that's to be expected I suppose and there will be a few jaded faces in the office today.

Been a weird couple of days recently. Yesterday I got myself on camera, did an interview with L.G while taking my lunch break and being 'lured' into seeing their new 3D phone. It was quite impressive to know you can play 3D games as well as take 3D pictures and video. They asked me if I'd buy one and I said, "Well, I've got an iPhone, so no" on camera which is not what they were after - ha!

Besides that, I got a new tube card holder which was a benefit oh and I got my picture taken on a Harley with a pretty girl on the back - they just get don't they. Apparently the photos while be on Facebook. Incidentally, in telling me this, the lady asked if I was on Facebook and I said no, which I think she was surprised by.

I've had a rather unproductive couple of days at work due to non-specific changes to the product that weren't communicated or even known but late yesterday about 16:45 I could start working on my project.

A couple of days ago I headed into Bank for lunch and was reminded how beautiful London is and how it is right under our noses - we are do luck and privileged to live and work in such a beautiful city.

I've started my 5 week training for an upcoming 10km run that a work colleague and I thought we might do. I'm on day one, lots still to do but should well prepare us for it when we get to it.

Been listening to a lot if Daft Punk recently, I downloaded like 3 of their albums of Spotify, and I'm really considering stating that of all that is French, Daft punk is the best thing to cone from France. Really cheeky.
