image2124106429.jpgI've been thinking about the feasibility of world travel in a lifetime. If for instance I wanted to make a start on the 195 countries in the world - how feasible an attempt would that be?

Would it be mind numbingly difficult? Their seems to be many inherent and obvious factors. Time and money being the most obvious. Less obvious things are accommodation and protection coupled with traveling rights and visas.

Some countries are quite terrible, for instance the Congo as it would be fairly easy to become a victim as would it be in most countries. So essentially one needs to understand or plan ones journey quite well as to avoid idleness - perhaps with time running out, this might be the least of ones worries.

The other issue is poising touch with the world. Could ones pursuit while enjoyable detach you from your family and friends and even your career? Quite a real possibility. Then the thought that perhaps a smarter way to travel is to accomplish ones quest without the disadvantages.

How one travels and works at the same time? Contracting? How one travels and stays in touch? Twitter, email and phone calls?

It's certainly a bit tricky. Especially to consistently guarantee that all these are met each time one travels.

But with these envisions of cosmopolitan travel, if each success you make along the way is an achievement on your life - then, surely it is worth it.

image1517945167.jpgYou know I've been wondering of late, what makes a life well lived? And the more I think about it, the more I tend to think it's based not on the common denominators of love and marriage or faith or any other things that if you asked the average Joe what makes a life worth living. I think it's worth living when you starting thinking about what you want, you start writing the plan, you think about it. Often we are living everybody else's lives - we are saying things like everyone else, we feel the same like everyone else, we become Like everyone else.

What do you want from life now? in the next 6 weeks, the next year? what? what? you don't know? That means you are wasting your life and your time going with the flow, seeing what happens. I can tell you this, I've experimented with the default, based my whole life on it. What have I learnt from it? It helps you to successfully go with the flow, raise up with the normal, become the champion of mediocrity.

It's now time to take what you don't know, the uncertainty of the next 6 weeks or years and define it to what you want, because then you'll know. Anything in between is a bonus and they will be unexpected, they will be some of the gaps in your plan - take them because they are free but move forward towards your plans.

because - when you do what you plan, you are successful. When your plan is based on what you want, you will be successful at what you want.

go now, I think and write a plan.

image2084649265.jpgHeaded off to gym yesterday after I had one beer last night. I don't know if it's a psychological or physical thing but my workout was considerably more difficult to maintain. Instead of 20 mins on the treadmill, I only managed 10 minutes and had to supplement it with 10 minutes on the cross-trainer. Felt really bummed about that so i upped my weights (but decreased the sets). Now, I know what you thinking, how can it be psychological? Well, I had a light beer, so light it floated out my hand after I'd finished it (Becks non-alcoholic) so considering that I had a beer but that it was only 0.05% almost makes it not really a beer (if you know what I mean) so that should be OK.

So anyways, my gym session was not that great and im thinking - was it because I thought it would be bad(because I had a beer), that it was? Ok, this is a really stupid argument but I'm going to go with my own flow here...

I hear you say, "man up bro" - I know but man, I think drinking kills my gym session - probably doesn't and it's all in my head. One thing though, I know I can probably gym on a beer(0.05%) - but it's not fun...or particularly healthy probably.

Decidedly tired this morning - not stiff because I had some protein afterwards and before bed.

Ok this thought is irritating me now. that's all.
