This weekend was pretty good. A good combination of stuff being done and stuff being not being done. Friday I worked from home. I worked straight off the sofa. I went for my fastest 6km run ever, now I am pretty sucky at running and have never fancied running all through my school life. Sub 5:30 per KM was my goal and I reached it. Funny it was real hard, but subsequent runs at the same or just below seem now easier. Is that the power of pushing oneself? I was constantly in the upper 180s heart rate wise and afterwards transferee myself from opening the door straight into the shower. That evening I took my neighbour for a walk around Wimbledon village and then the common, I had a steak and cheese wrap and spent most of the walk sticking my hand in the cookie packet of coconut cookies I bought just before we headed out. I realised while walking around the common how that this view that we were seeing was how I always pictured Wimbledon in my mind's eye. Saturday morning I went to the seasonal car boot sale. The weather had blessed us with beaming sunshine, and I browsed the stalls around the semi-long grass filled park. I browsed for hours; there is definitely something sinister about enjoying the rummage through others things. I had nursed a Lime drink I bought earlier and later an ice cream. I strolled out in the same way I strolled in.

I wondered into a cell phone shop, found a running arm band for my phone which is exactly what I wanted to eventually get: my Bluetooth headphones work with line of sight and putting my phone in my pocket messes up the signal and I hear all my songs in staccato...not great. So this is what I needed. I also bought 3 new shirts because I'm lacking shirt diversity- having 5 t-shirts in the same colour(I do) probably is safe but dull. I also wondered(wondering is what Stus do best) into a cancer research store: Bought a shirt right off the mannequin. Tried it on, liked it, mine.

I spent the walk home contemplating two things. Shall I go watch the new Batman or go for a run with my new armband. It was too hot for a run, and besides I could save the new experience for the next day(run home from work) so I decided to dump the stuff at home and head back out to the cinema. That didn't happen. I got home and figured that I'd just watch the cricket and watch the movie, I'll give that opportunity to another day. There is no need to do everything on one day. I can do it whenever I life; tomorrow maybe. Today even. I watched two great things on TV. South Africa's first batting innings where records tumbled and Captain Corelli's mandolin. Both a wonderful sofa experience.

Somewhere between the cricket and the movie I found myself on the kitchen floor using my laptop which was nice.
anyway, I'm at work now.
