I've been in leave for the last 3 days now and how god it has been for my soul. I went to the theatre and watched South Pacific, the musical and that was pretty awesome. I guess, it's the realness of it all that's so appealing. I felt like I was in a cave, but far from it, it was a glorious auditorium with a fantastic view just above the stage. Seeing the live orchestra was the eye-opener - this is really all real, live and dynamic. I mused while leaving the theatre in the night, while the grandness was fading into the city night lights...you really have to suck the marrow out of life! You need to live your life your way, the way that makes you happy - 20 seconds of bravery every once and a whole will open your mind and you'll be happy. That's kinda how I felt when I booked the ticket, It was new to me, I'd go alone and I was kinda thinking "na, just leave it" but you can't do that - so I do it and it was brilliant. South Pacific was the production and all I remember is "Balli hai" theme song...wonderful musical. I will be doing that again.
I also went to the DVLA and applied for a provisional license. Pretty much just gave into it - they'll be sending my passport off. That's ok - 20 seconds of intense, blinding bravery. Now I'm listening to Phill Collins' In The Air Tonight, and just thinking how good I feel about just these 2 things. Got a special delivery envelope at the post office and hopefully my passport finds its way back to me.
Applied for a Fixed rate cash ISA today, this will be the start of a vehicle for my savings...oh and I get a pretty good rate and the rate ain't looking like its going anywhere so I'm pretty decided. That also a good thing I did this week. I count 3 things.Oh so that's not all, I got a new XBox game, sequel to my fav : The Darkness 2. Frikken awesome! I've been going to bed fairly early an consistently so that's also good and I've rested real good in terms of running. I've not done any but nearly did today but thought better of it. Had a superb lunch yesterday...what was it ? oh yes - blueberry and banana smoothie, spaghetti bolegnase. For dinner I had pizza - not good but I'm fine with it. It's been a pretty freaking great 3 days off, man!
Just too the rubbish out, got a load in the washing machine, so things are tidying themselves up nicely. Speakin of washing machines, I visited mine in secure storage in Earlsfield...need to get that home. That's another thing I did - that's about 5 things im happy about. It's funny, I felt like a secret agent having a secure storage room...you get in a lift, really old school - two sliding sorta scaffolding gates you gotta pull to close the lift and then you go up, walk through a maze of rooms and finally find your locker...super covert!
Played guitar a bit. if I could sound like Muse's Knights Of Cydonia, I'd be a happy man. Last night I was reading up on a technology called NHibernate which is a entity framework...looks pretty interesting.
Tomorrow... I don't know but it's gonna be great!
