So I've been running postfix for many years now - probably about 2 in actual fact. Been great. i use IMAP4 and hook up a few web GUIs to interface with it and so far no problems. But something has been lacking. Not too sure if its the lack of integration between calendars, mail and contacts or something else but lack of these do bug me. I've recently configured my postfix server to send a copy of every mail to my mobile me account which allows me to login to me.com and see the mail plus I get a calendar, online contact sync with my iphone. So I'm trialing that at the moment.Very much like the idea of receiving mail into my personal email server where I keep a copy of that data and then replicate it to mobile me so I can use the email view in line with the calendar view on the site (not that its strictly necessary).

Had a look at Linux type exchange products like Zimbra - expensive and not easy to obtain a single hosted license - as this is all I need. Exchange hosting offers this flexibility plus a beautiful interface with standard...as a standard in terms of 'everyone else uses exchange'

Both hosted offerings from Apple and intermedia(Exchange) are on a trial basis so will be interesting to see the results
